Born and raised in Baytown, Jamari Gilbert has dedicated his life to excellence — on the field, in the classroom, in business, and in his community.
From Baytown to the World — and Back Home
Jamari Gilbert was born and raised right here in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2013, where his drive and discipline set him apart. He went on to earn a full athletic scholarship to the University of the Incarnate Word, where he competed in Division I football and track, earned his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, and then his MBA — graduating Cum Laude.
After college, Jamari played professional football with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL and represented Team USA as a three-time USATF National Champion in track and field. These experiences taught him what it means to compete at the highest level, lead under pressure, and never stop pushing forward.
In 2020, Jamari and his wife Morgan made a deliberate choice: to come home to Baytown and invest in the community that raised them. They opened Baytown Nutrition, a health and wellness business serving the community, and in 2026 expanded their mission with Soul Fuel TX. They are raising their family here because they believe Baytown's best days are still ahead.
